Greetings armpit lovers! As I write this, it's Pride Month here in the United States and in countries around the world. Well, I feel compelled to share a different kind of Pride message with you. (If I may, I'd like to get serious for a wee bit. However, don't worry, as always I've included some fun and yummy, pit pics in this post as well.)
WORDS TO INSPIRE
For the June 2019 issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, six celebrity trailblazers from the LGBTQ+ community sat down with the magazine to reflect on living proud in Hollywood. They were (pictured above, from left to right) author and POSE director Janet Mock; actor Neil Patrick Harris; Ruby Rose, who, this fall, will star as BATWOMAN, the first openly gay superhero to headline a TV series; actor Wilson Cruz; music legend, Melissa Etheridge; and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What motivates you to be not only visible but also vocal members of the community?
My favorite answer?
MELISSA ETHERIDGE: Oh, well, shoot. Every time one of us who is visible comes out, it is so monumental. --- ... It helps people who think that they're alone, who think that there's nobody like them, who think that they can't be happy. You get to show the beautiful rainbow of people.

So, let me tell you how I feel this all relates to armpit lovers.
PLEASE NOTE: Not everyone may need to hear this message, but based on some of my online interactions with readers from all over, there are some people who do.
I love to login to Blogger and check which countries have folks who read my CONFESSIONS OF AN ARMPIT LOVER blog that day! Here, in alphabetical order, are just a few of the nations that have appeared on my overview stats board (flags appear left to right, top to bottom):
Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czechia,
France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia,
The Philippines, Mexico, Russia, Spain,
Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States,...
... and my favorite to see, "Unknown Region".
Thousands have read my blog and many more view my Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and MeWe sites. People of all colors, from all walks of life. --- A whole beautiful rainbow!
For years and years, I've searched the web for pit pics and related articles. To my delight, the armpit lover community keeps increasing its presence online. Sadly, at times we're still teased or ridiculed concerning our passion for pits by friends and loved ones. Some of us have even been rejected by sweethearts when we attempt to worship their aromatic axillae.
Well, Ms. Etheridge's response has inspired me. I'm here to speak to those of you who secretly love pits, yet feel embarrassment or shame because of it. Be assured you're not alone, there are millions like you (you're normal) and it is possible for you to be happy. It may be many years before we see a portrayal of a gay or straight character worship another character's underarms in a mainstream Hollywood movie or on a network TV show, but pit passion is a very real and wonderful thing. It's happening every day,... in towns like yours and mine, all over the world.
