EASY RECIPE😋
Due to the pandemic, many of us have started baking. However, instead of making the same ol' cookies, cakes or peppermint bark, how about giving the gift of edible armpit hair!?
This quirky recipe was discovered on Pinterest under "Halloween Treats", however as any armpit lover knows, pits are a perfect snack for the holidays,... or heck, anytime of the year!
INGREDIENTS:
Post Brand Shredded Wheat Cereal (Big Biscuits), 3 Table Spoons Honey, 1 Table Spoon Light Brown Sugar, 6 Ounces of Chocolate Chips, 2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
YOU WILL ALSO NEED:
Medium-Sized Heavy Saucepan, Stove or Portable Electric Burner, Rubber Spatula, Waxed Paper, Cookie Sheet, Fork, Refrigerator, Timer
DIRECTIONS:
Break apart 3 large biscuits of Post Brand Shredded Wheat (Big Biscuits) cereal into long strands so they have the appearance of hair, and set them aside. In a medium-sized heavy saucepan, combine the honey, light brown sugar, and chocolate chips with the butter or margarine. Set the heat to medium and place the saucepan on the burner. Using the rubber spatula, gently stir the ingredients until the mixture is glossy and smooth. Remove the saucepan from burner and place it on a heat safe work surface. Gently fold the shredded wheat into the pan. When thoroughly coated, scoop onto a waxed paper-lined, cookie sheet in nine equal portions. Use a fork to gently rake "hairs" into one direction. To set the Chocolate Armpit Hairs, place them in a refrigerator and set your timer for about 30 minutes, then they are ready to enjoy!
SERVING SUGGESTION:
Instead of cookies, how about leaving some yummy armpit hair for Santa!? You just might end up getting extra presents!
ALTERNATIVES:
--- Do you prefer blondes? In place of regular chocolate, maybe experiment with white chocolate chips, plus yellow food coloring.
--- Are ginger gents more to your taste? Ditch the chocolate and try red colored, cherry flavored baking chips instead! Throw in a few candied RED HOTS for some spice!
"Nom, nom, nom! Wow, these Chocolate Armpit Hairs remind me of my ex-boyfriend, Ben!" |
